SASO (Saudi Arabian Standards Organization) Certification

SASO is the Saudi Arabian Standards Organization "SAUDI ARABIAN STANDARDS ORGANIZATION" the English abbreviation. Has developed standards for imports and import procedures, set out on all imported goods, products, and with the measure, scale, trademarks, merchandise and product identification, testing methods and inspection, testing standards.

ICCP is the International Conformity Certification Program "International Conformity Certification" acronym. The plan applies to all exports to Saudi Arabia, or locally-produced consumer products. The plan for the Saudi Arabian consumers use the product security. The two basic elements of this plan are:
1) All products must comply with the provisions of national technical rules and regulations of Saudi Arabia or the relevant international standards;
2) Each batch of the provisions of the export products, to be held with the goods ICCP Certificate (COC)

All exports to Saudi Arabia country's consumer products (can be adult children in the home, office or other use of leisure facilities) have been designated as requiring a product. For example: home appliances, kitchen electric tools, perfume, cosmetics, jewelry and so on all motor vehicles and their accessories of all building materials, including coatings and paints, etc. The existing five categories ICCP involving 66 kinds of products first class: Toys II : electrical and electronic products, third categories: Automotive Products 4th class: Chemical Products fifth category: other products (a total of 10 kinds of products range) The following products do not belong to consumer products: medical equipment; medical products; food; military production.

SASO / ICCP certification of several types
ICCP certification program if they meet any of the following three forms:
1) comply with validation (Compliance Verification): is not frequently applied to exports of exporters and suppliers. Every time before shipment to apply for Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI) and pre-shipment testing (PST).
2) The registration and pre-shipment inspection: by the manufacturers or exporters of the provisions declared and confirmed that products comply with technical regulations of Saudi Arabia, (Generally, these regulations take into account the local climatic / geographical environment and other factors) to provide product test reports and apply for registration certificate. After the first year registration certificate is still valid, but to regular audits to ensure that products continue to meet the relevant requirements. Enrolled products in the shipment have to do it before the regular Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI).
3) Type Certification: To obtain type certification, the manufacturer to submit samples, technical information to a qualified laboratory testing, the product must be in full compliance with regulations of Saudi Arabia, while the factory quality control system should be regularly checked (at least once a year ). Type certification procedures strictly follow the ISO / IEC Guidelines 28 (product type third-party certification system the basic rule). Not be used for each shipment before the pre-shipment inspection.
The new certificate program?
    Saudi Arabia in March 2005 Bureau of Standards developed a new certification program: the exporter or the manufacturer first before shipment to apply for a pre-shipment inspection, as well as pre-shipment testing, both of which can get CoC Certificate of Compliance . Starting from the second shipment, simply apply for pre-shipment inspection of the accompanying test report before you can obtain a valid CoC certificate.
SASO applications have EMC requirements?
    Since October 1, 2003 onwards, EMC requirements for mandatory. SASO certification does not require factory inspections. In the three days before shipment Applicants must apply for a local RLC institutions shipment inspection of products.
