India BIS certification (The Bureauof Indian Standards) ISI Certification Mark

Authentication mode

BIS product certification quality management system through the initial plant testing and evaluation, sample test, recognition after passing the licensing, certification, supervision by the factory quality management system.

Certification Process

1. Application. For BIS certification of foreign manufacturers generally need to use specific applications and related documents prepared for the BIS headquarters in New Delhi.

2. Records. BIS on the search application documents submitted by the applicant and review of data, such as the procedure is complete, the application record. Applicants must pay the appropriate processing fee.

3. The initial factory inspection. BIS to appoint not more than 2 officials delegation to the factory inspection. Applicants should bear the official delegation to the factory inspection travel, visa fees and other expenses and the corresponding inspection fee.

4. Awarded a certificate. If you pass the initial inspection and test results, and the applicant agreed to the implementation of BIS certification, inspection and testing programs approved and paid BIS marking fee, may issue a certificate to the applicant. Certificate is valid for 1 year. Certificates granted, the licenser and the annual certificate fee to pay an annual fee identity.

5. Certification oversight. BIS through regular monitoring and enforcement witness on the plant, the market spot checks and test samples to monitor the quality of their certified products. If the periodic inspection, from the factory or market samples collected by the plant inspection and independent test results meet the requirements, the certificate can be updated. Licenser by submitting the prescribed form for renewal applications to the BIS, the certificate update fee of 500 rupees. Licenser test samples need to bear the cost.
